What is The Crackling Quill?
The Crackling Quill is the enigmatic creator and purveyor of handcrafted stories to warm you through every season. Offering a selection of cozy and spicy tales for the adventurous, the adventurous at heart, and all lovers of love, tea, and soft blankets.
Okay, but really. What is this?
Fine. The Crackling Quill is both the platform and the alt identify of author T. Albright (that's me). Currently, it’s the banner under which I’m publishing monthly-ish short stories throughout 2025 and occasionally bantering online, but it’s also an ever-expanding world that will eventually contain serials, novels, and who knows what else.
Side note: What are “cozy” and “spicy” stories?
Cozy: low stakes, comforting or positive vibe, may include PG-level intimacy
Spicy: higher emotional and physical stakes in the story and/or PG-13+ level of intimacy depicted on page
What’s this newsletter for?
The monthly newsletter will give readers insights into what’s on my creative slate, occasional exclusive content, and a peek at what I’m reading/watching/listening to lately. Possibly also photos of dogs, good food, and bookstores.
